Loop reusable packaging initiative – Nestlé’s Häagen-Dazs ice cream brand

Nestlé has stated its partnership in Loop, a support home distribution service for foods and household goods with reusable packaging.

Loop is a first-of-its-kind service from global recycling organization TerraCycle, with Nestlé company in America establishing investor and companion.

Loop will enable customers to enjoy Häagen-Dazs and other household favorite foods and personal care commodities. Deliveries made to the consumer’s on the door step in customized, long-lasting packaging that is then collected, cleaned, refilled and reused.

Consumers buying for Häagen-Dazs on Loop can select from non-dairy options (Chocolate Salted Fudge, Coconut Caramel and Mocha Chocolate Cookie) or regular favorites (Vanilla or Strawberry).

The decision comes just days after Nestlé promised to expedite action to tackle plastic waste and fulfill its responsibility to making 100% of its packaging recyclable or reusable by 2025.
