First-ever recyclable fiber-based microwavable cup – KraftMac and Cheese
KraftMac and Cheese, a beloved staple on American tables for over 80 years, today declared that it is developing and examining the brand’s first-ever recyclable fiber-based microwavable cup. In testing completion, the brand will launch a new KraftMac and Cheese Shapes variety following 2021 using the fresh cup and design.
Recyclable fiber-based microwavable cup
The fiber-based microwavable cup currently holding trialed is microwave secure and filled with the same delicious KraftMac and Cheese families know and love. Also, the innovative cup will reject the plastic label through new direct print technology. The design switch from plastic to fiber intends to decrease plastic use and be both recyclable and compostable in industrial composting abilities. Kraft is operating with outside partners to certify and incorporate the usual recycling labeling to help customers know exactly what to do with the packaging after enjoying their meal.
“Customers are at the heart of everything we do, and we know they are looking for more sustainable packaging alternatives without sacrificing the convenience or taste they love from Kraft Mac and Cheese,” said Matt Carpenter, Marketing Director at Kraft Heinz. “During our mission to produce our first recyclable fiber-based microwavable Kraft Mac and Cheese cup, it was important to partner with fans who experience our passion. Their precious feedback is supporting to create packaging solutions with both today’s customer and future generations in mind.”
KraftMac and Cheese already offer consumers the taste they love with no artificial preservatives, flavors, or dyes. This more sustainable microwavable cup is a distinct step forward for the iconic brand. Watch for more extra information from Krafton where and when the new KraftMac and Cheese Shapes category, using the fresh cup and design currently in development, will be available later this year.
