First-of-its kind Fully Transparent Recyclable Mid-barrier Blister Package – TekniPlex Healthcare
TekniPlex Healthcare, which uses advanced materials science experience to provide better patient results, introduced the world’s first fully transparent recyclable mid-barrier blister packaging.
Its new packaging material breakthrough comprises barrier protection against moisture.
The mid-barrier blisters have a polyolefin blister film seal with a barrier PP lidding film. This packaging is the first time a formed blister + lidding selection is certified as recyclable– a considerable milestone in the evolving inspiration to make healthcare packaging more sustainable. From a manufacturing perspective, initial machinability studies have been positive, with large-scale tests planned for the near future.
