Newly introduced MetsäBoard Prime FBB EB has an average barrier against moisture and oil, which gives it especially fit for food and foodservice packaging. Moreover, it is eco-barrier board and also plastic-free, it does not expect a plastic parting process doing it easy and cost-efficient to recycle.

To meet that requirement Metsä Board, part of Metsä Group, is introducing a new plastic-free eco-barrier paperboard. It can recycle in paper or paperboard waste process according to local recycling systems.
MetsäBoard Prime FBB EB purely made of fresh fibers sourced from sustainably handled Northern European forests. This paperboard – MetsäBoard is reliable for direct food contact and is free from optical brighteners (OBA free) and fluorochemicals. Now, it is available both with PEFC™ or with FSC© certification.
As it is inherently easy to recycle, MetsäBoard Prime FBB EB is lower in weight. It will help in the reduction of carbon footprint completely the whole chain.
