Ulterion® coatings are happy to launch its entire range of extremely sustainable, Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS)-free oil and grease resistant (OGR) coatings for food contact packaging and baking applications. 

Sustainable Coating for food packaging

Ulterion’s OGR coatings invented by transforming waste plastic. And usually, it occurring ingredients into a non-plastic coating that does not contain any PFOA perfluorooctanoic acid (also called C8), PFOS (Perfluorooctanesulfonic acid), silicone, PE, chromium, or GMO(Genetically Modified Organisms) ingredients. Ulterion® sustainable OGR coatings are styrene-free to comply with California’s Prop 65.

Ulterion sustainable OGR coatings give superior protection for french fry packages, burger clamshells, sandwich covers, donut and bakery cartons, pizza liners, baking sheets, butcher writing paper, pet food packaging, and all related end-uses.

Ulterion sustainable OGR coatings can apply on the document machine, off-machine by the capacity press or by flexographic printer, rod coater, hanging curtain, or blade coater.  In extension to oil and lubricant resistance, Ulterion® OGR coatings emphasize excellent food and baking release properties.

Ulterion OGR-coated paper boxes are cost-neutral to PFAS, 100% repulpable, 100% recyclable, and will not inhibit compostability. Also, all Ulterion sustainable OGR coatings are FDA certified, BfR registered. It has Proposition 65 compliant and Plastic Free in agreement with Directive (EU) 2019/904” notes Jain Chem sales manager Gil Sherman. “That’s a win-win-win for brand partners, consumers, and the environment.
