Award-winning Nefab EdgePak Straw for Lithium-Ion batteries packaging
Nefab’s fiber-based packaging for Lithium-Ion batteries (LiB) is rewarded in the sustainability category. The battery enterprise has depended heavily on Expanded Polypropylene (EPP) substances which are challenging to recycle. The new packaging solution is sustainable and recyclable by exchanging for a mono-material fiber solution. Despite its fiber-based qualities, the packaging design can resist over 350 kg weight per box and qualifies for 1+3 stacking. On top of that, the packaging solution is UN-approved for transporting dangerous goods.
The EdgePak Straw solution is perfect for one-way LiB freight as it decreases environmental impact and total supply chain expenses and is easy to recycle. The idea can also be applied to heavy products requiring supply chains. The winning solution will be shown at the forthcoming FachPack trade show in Nuremberg, Germany, at Nefab’s booth no. Five hundred fifteen in hall 9, from 27th to 29th September 2022.
