Schreiner MediPharm is allowing a new sealing solution for tamper-proof closure of folding boxes and wallets. The Multi-Tear Closure Label is provided with a unique combination of security effects that check the undetected opening of pharmaceutical packaging.
It meets the requirements of the EU Falsified Medicines Directive and the international ISO 21976:2018 standard, “Tamper Verification Features for Medicinal Product Packaging,” that is based on the European DIN EN 16679:2014.
The Multi-Tear Closure Label is a clear closure seal for folding boxes that joins two security mechanisms. It is started to peel off the seal inconspicuous: The “film-tear” effect damage the film, and the “fiber-tear” impact causes the cardboard outside surface to tear. The seal is having a coat of unique high-strength adhesive. If the label is peeled off, paper fibers have come with the cardboard surface to which the film is applied. Also, especially designed security kiss cuts prevent the label from being displaced as a whole: It will tear and thus be irreversibly destroyed. As an outcome, the fiber-/film-tear combination of the Multi-Tear Closure Label checks the undetected opening of medicine packaging because it indicates any first opening.
Schreiner MediPharm’s Multi-Tear Closure Label can go with many various cardboard surfaces, as well as on varnished mono cartons. Due to the natural material, neither logos nor design elements neither printed data such as batch numbers and expiration dates are there. The way of sealing, folding mono cartons comply with the standard of the EU Falsified Medicines Directive, and also with current DIN.
