Colored by the INX Can Design Contest entry period begins

The INX International Ink Co. is now acquiring entries for the second annual Colored by INX Can Design Contest through April 30. The exhibition is open to brand keepers, design agencies, marketers, and others who utilized the INX Color Catalog to manufacture a single commercial can design between January 1 and December 31, 2020.

Recognized as the market leader for metal finishing inks and color management technologies, the INX introduced the contest last year and was well-received with a highly confident response from the industry. Crown Brand Building Packaging captured the power with its colorful entry for INDIO Beer Pueblos de México Unido Edición Muertos.

“We invented the contest last year to showcase our industry-leading INX 2-Piece Metal Color Catalog and corresponding digital color library. We were blown away by the acknowledgment it generated,” said Renee Schouten, Director of Marketing for the INX International Ink Co. “More than 200 decision-makers rendering beverage brands and marketers, breweries, producers, and the design companies realize the INX Color Catalog as the lone real color standard for the metal finishing industries. And we understand the Can Design competition not only will heighten more excellent awareness, but it will support others to display their most excellent design work.”

All records need to be postmarked by April 30. A panel of delegates from the INX Color Perfection team will choose the top five finalists based on originality, overall design aesthetics, the essential use of the color palette, and the project statement describing how color was integral to the design solution. The winner will be decided through public voting via Facebook from May 10-17, with the official announcement on May 18.
