Why do not use traditional plastic toothbrushes?

Some plastic is not possible to recycle. Is a toothbrush with a bamboo handle a more suitable choice for the planet?

What is Bamboo Toothbrush?

Bamboo toothbrushes same as regular toothbrush you would see on the shelf. It has a handle and bristles to remove food bits and plaque from your teeth. The significant difference between bamboo toothbrushes and plastic toothbrushes is the material utilized to make the handle.
The bamboo toothbrushes appear like a new, eco-friendly item, and they are one of the most classical types of toothbrushes. The toothbrush invented in China, the earliest bristle toothbrushes in the 15th century, and featured pig hair bristles and bamboo handles.
Modern ages replace with nylon bristles on modern bamboo toothbrushes; some still do have bristles made from boar hair. Many have bristles introduced with activated charcoal, for whitening the teeth.

Is Bamboo Eco-Friendly?

When taking a toothbrush material, consider how bamboo varies from plastic and wood. Bamboo plants develop quickly, require less care, and may advance without fertilizer or pesticides.
When managed in its raw form, such as in the form of a toothbrush handle, bamboo does have a considerably smaller ecological footprint compared to plastic. This is because bamboo is biodegradable. You can compost the handles of bamboo toothbrushes if you first remove the nylon bristles.
Choose one with a bamboo handle and bristles made from boar hair if we go for entirely biodegradable. So, one thing to get to know that boar hair bristles tend to be rough than nylon plastic. But the hard bristles can generate wear on your enamel layer of teeth and contribute to receding gums.

Adopting and Caring for a Bamboo Toothbrush

You can use a toothbrush with a bamboo handle the same way you would use a plastic toothbrush and should keep the same considerations in mind.
It’s an excellent approach to replace bamboo toothbrushes as often as you would any other kind of toothbrush.
