Introduced Joncryl® HPB 1634 water-based technology for barrier coatings in food packaging

You can now substitute the polyethylene (PE) in paper/PE laminate and even replace plastic packaging with paper and board with Joncryl® HPB 1634

It is approved for food contact applications; this promising new water-based technology gives coatings with water and grease barrier properties and heat sealability. End products include paper bags and pouches for dry and fatty food packaging.

Joncryl® HPB 1634 is a film-forming acrylic copolymer emulsion applied in paper coatings. It demonstrates low moisture vapor transition rate (MVTR) and low COBB (water absorptiveness) values. Free from glycol ether, it generates very few volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
