Easypeel capsule for Wine bottle by Amcor

A new capsule design from Amcor is making wine more accessible to open while preserving time-honored traditions that are important to specifying specialist.

The EASY-PEEL wine-opening method uses a one-piece aluminum capsule directed to open wine bottles with a clean line, every time. Unlike other technologies that rely on pull tabs, EASY-PEEL allows users and experts to use traditional bottle openers.

“We built EASY-PEEL for everyone who prefers wine,” described Nicolas Freynet, General Manager, Amcor Capsules.
“The most important beneficiaries of this innovation, however, may be the winemakers themselves.”

With EASY-PEEL, customers fix the knife from an opener at a point shown on the capsule and peel back to create a clean and consistent opening. The enhanced design stops tearing, over-cutting or removing the entire capsule – all of which can detract from the carefully crafted aesthetics wine brands work to develop.
