Call to discard paper straws and use a plastic straw – McDonald
McDonald’s is being requested to stop its paper straws in the UK, and Ireland claims that it “soften” in drinks.
The fast-food giant is shifting from plastic to paper straws at their 1,361 restaurants after consumer pressure.
An online petition requesting for a replacement of paper straw to plastic straws has so far collected more than 35,000 signs.
The McDonald chain provides 1.8 million straws to its four million UK customers each day.
