Digital Printing on the Glass Bottom

Regardless of whether you refer to an old formality as just that or any of its synonyms such as rocks glass, whiskey glass, or even a lowball glass – they are all identifiable by their distinctive wide-thin brim and substantial plump base.

Digital printing on the glass bottom is a process in which a design or image is printed directly onto the base of a glass object using digital printing technology. This technology allows for precise and high-quality printing of complex designs, logos, and other graphics onto the surface of the glass bottom.

Several digital printing processes can be used to print on the glass bottom, including inkjet printing and laser printing. In inkjet printing, tiny droplets of ink are sprayed onto the surface of the glass bottom using a print head. This process is suitable for printing a wide range of colors and is often used for printing detailed graphics and images. Laser printing, on the other hand, involves using a laser beam to transfer ink or toner onto the surface of the glass bottom. This process is generally faster and more precise than inkjet printing and is often used for printing large quantities of glass objects.

Digital printing on the glass bottom offers several advantages over traditional printing methods.

It allows for high customization and personalization, as it can print almost any design or image onto the glass bottom. Digital printing also allows for faster turnaround times and lower costs than traditional printing methods, as it does not require printing plates or other specialized equipment. Additionally, digital printing produces high-quality, vibrant images resistant to fading and wear.

Contemporary shaker glasses are similar to pint glasses – both are referred to as shakers.

DIGITALLY DECORATE THE BOTTOM OF FLAT GLASSES

These versatile bottoms provide a highly functional platform for decorating with UV flatbed printers. The X5 UV flatbed printer can reproduce mirrored and full-color images in one pass to create breathtaking visual representations that become visible when the glass is set upright again.

1. PRINT INNOVATION MIRROR PRINT

Mirror print is a print technique used to decorate cylindrical drinkware showcasing artwork from all angles.

In mirror print, the artwork is printed in reverse; a layer of white is printed over the design, and finally, the artwork is printed over white. For this to work correctly, the outlines must be the same.

But, the inward-facing artwork does not need to match the outward-facing artwork. Typically mirror print decorates the walls of drinkware.

To decorate the bottom of clear drinkware, we turn to a form of mirror print. In a case like this, where the artwork need only be visible to the inside is printed much like the process of traditional mirror print.

2. FLATBED PRINTERS TAKE ON MIRROR PRINT

To begin, the illustration is digitally printed in reverse on the flat bottom of the glass. Then, upon drinking from the glass, the artwork is in the correct orientation. Reverse mirror print is excellent for displaying the artwork to viewers looking into the glass.
