Blue Ocean Closures is introducing an innovative and competitive alternative cap recyclable as paper.
The solution has been developed and adapted specifically for aseptically packaged products such as long-life dairy, juices, plant-based drinks, and soups.
The over-cap is made of fiber-based material and is an excellent fit for these products. The cap should be, too, since the carton board is already recyclable as paper. Even if the cap is a small part of the package, considering the sheer volume, our solution can significantly impact our offer.

The groundbreaking technology Blue Ocean Closures is developing enables brand owners and fillers to reduce environmental impact further by using a solution with less plastic and a lower carbon footprint in their packaging. The over-cap for aseptic liquid cartons is a drop-in solution, meaning replacing the current cap in producers’ existing systems is easy.
The solution is particularly fit for aseptic two-step openings (type pull-ring) from different suppliers and adds another sustainability benefit to aseptic carton packages.
We are eager to build relationships with potential partners, anticipating the first volume to reach the market in early 2025.
