Mars Wrigley UK’s Maltesers boxes are now entirely recyclable after switching to a dispersion coated barrier board
Mars Wrigley UK has taken a different step towards 100% reusable, recyclable or compostable packaging, eliminating this black PE liner from its Maltesers boxes, a well-known site on store shelves since 1930.

“At Mars, we know our responsibility for sustainable packaging seriously, and today’s announcement that our iconic Maltesers box is now entirely recyclable is a various important step in our journey toward packaging that is 100% reusable, recyclable, or compostable,” says Adam Grant, General Manager, Mars Wrigley UK.
“We are constantly committed to helping brands develop solutions that address the frequently pressing want to take food packaging in a further sustainable direction,” declares Matthew Terry, Technical Service Director, South, and West Europe, Metsä Board.
