Patented Packaging Innovation, Bow Tie Shipper by International Paper
International Paper introduced the new, fantastic packaging innovation, the Bow Tie Shipper. This space-saving, the patented design will replace small, glued corrugated fiber boxes.
The Shipper is an excellent solution for multiple hand-assembly applications in eCommerce and packing distribution components. It was designed to fulfill the functional and sustainability requirements of consumers seeking resource-friendly packaging with no glue joints.
“The Bow Tie Shipper flips and folds in a subject of seconds, creating construction quick and comfortable in a fast-paced packaging environment,” said Jeff Smith, International Paper Design Services Manager and RIT Packaging Design graduate. “With three easy steps in the hand assembly process – flip, wrap, and pack – the innovative design can remove packaging frustrations and enhance distribution functions.”
International Paper operates innovative solutions to meet varying needs with innovative, practical, and recyclable products that illustrate value for its customers and the company. The Bow Tie Shipper design was created as part of a “Small Box Design Challenge,” The innovation team specified ideal markets for this original, hand setup design.
In extra to being used in pick and pack processes, it also serves as a padded envelope replacement. Although the design permits new, smaller-sized solutions and provides an alternative format for mini flexo packages, the Bow Tie Shipper can be readily configured for considerable sizes.
